VMCS carries out a careful and detailed selection of leather for its products, choosing only Portuguese and Italian genuine leather.
In the selection process we privilege flexibility, resistance, durability, and breathability. Genuine leather has natural imperfections, such as scars or wrinkles, which give each piece an unparalleled authenticity. This is the essence that makes it unique and special.
The existing processes used to disguise leather imperfections can compromise the authenticity of the material and, consequently, the uniqueness of the products.
Hence VMCS's choice to use genuine natural leather, which provides distinction, authenticity and superior quality to the products we manufacture.

Distinct leather for each part of the item
During the manufacturing of saddles, bridles and other products, different types of leather are used depending on the specific characteristics and requirements of each part of the item. This may result in the use of leather from different animals within the same piece. As a result, small variations may occur, but they never compromise the aesthetic appearance or the quality of the item.
Moreover, VMCS applies strict inspection and quality control to every product we manufacture.
Different leathers within a full tack set
When purchasing complete sets (saddle, bridle, breastplate, crupper) all in the same colour (e.g. natural), it is important to note that it is not possible to use the same leather hide for all items, which naturally leads to slight differences in colour. It is important to emphasise that despite these potential aesthetic and quality variations, the set as a whole is not affected. These differences are almost imperceptible and are normal characteristics of genuine leather products, as each hide is unique and never identical to another.
Information about colours
It is not possible to guarantee that leather items in London, dark London, brown or havana will be completely identical.
Product images and videos are indicative.
Since no two hides are the same, it is impossible for the product to be exactly identical to the one shown in photos and videos. Differences are minimal, but are a natural consequence of acquiring a product made from genuine leather and handcrafted.

We take pride in our artisanal tradition, present in all our products, using methods passed down through generations. This approach results in exclusive and distinctive items, where each piece is truly unique and every detail is carefully handmade. As such, subtle variations may occur without compromising the quality or appearance of the product.
SADDLE BREAK-IN PERIOD
When acquiring a new VMCS saddle, there is an adaptation and break-in period (approximately 16 hours of use). During this time, the saddle begins to shape itself to both the rider and the horse. At the end of this period, the saddle will be perfectly adjusted to the horse's back, increasing comfort and stability for the rider.
